Hemali Bhuta at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (July 15th- October 1, 2012)

Manjari Sihare on Hemali Bhuta’s forthcoming project at the prestigious Yorkshire Sculpture Park

New York: Mumbai based artist, Hemali Bhuta adds another feather to her cap. After having being selected for an exchange program at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris in 2009/10 and being a finalist for the Rolex Mentor Protégé Program under Anish Kapoor, Bhuta will be working at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (YSP), UK’s first sculpture park in West Bretton, Wakefield. YSP has collaborated with the Creative India Foundation to host Bhuta as a visiting artist who will be creating work in response to the Park and its environs. YSP is known for being amongst the top open spaces for sculpture in the world and holds a legacy of big international names including Joan Miró, Sophie Ernst, Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. Read more…
